Approach

An embedded partner — not an escalation hotline.

Tiffanie works alongside General Management, Company and Stage Management, and creatives to address concerns early, strengthen communication, and ensure that culture supports both artistic excellence and operational sustainability.

The People & Culture Partner

A confidential, consistent, and visible resource for the company — bridging Human Resources practices, workplace culture, and employee relations in a theatrical environment.

  • Reduces risk by addressing issues early and informally when appropriate
  • Builds trust and psychological safety across the company
  • Reinforces workplace expectations and shared responsibility
  • Supports General Management with real-time employee relations and cultural insight
  • Creates alignment between stated values and daily behaviors

Rather than responding only when issues escalate, we focus on prevention, education, and relationship-building.

Why productions benefit from HR & culture support

Live productions bring together large and diverse teams working under demanding timelines. Cast members, musicians, crew, creative teams, and production staff must collaborate closely while navigating different personalities, working styles, and expectations.

Without the right structures in place, productions may experience:

  • Communication challenges between departments
  • Unresolved workplace conflict
  • Uncertainty around professional expectations and standards
  • Generational and cultural differences within companies
  • Difficulty navigating sensitive employee relations situations

A dedicated People & Culture partner helps productions address concerns early and maintain a respectful and professional working environment throughout rehearsals, openings, and the run of the production.

My role on productions

I partner with producers, company managers, and leadership teams to support the overall health and functionality of the production. My role is not to disrupt the creative process but to strengthen the environment that allows it to succeed.

Guidance and support areas:

  • Employee relations and workplace concerns
  • Conflict mediation
  • Leadership support for producers and company managers
  • Workplace culture and communication
  • Respect in the workplace standards
  • DEI and inclusive practices

By supporting leadership and providing neutral guidance when needed, I help productions address issues early and maintain professional working environments for everyone involved.
